Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main pathogen for cervical cancer and genital warts. Dr Guo started his HPV vaccine research since 1990s. Professor Ian Frazer and passed Dr Jian Zhou — the Gardasil vaccine inventors brought Dr Guo to the University of Queesland doing HPV related work. The Gardasil vaccine is made from HPV for cervical cancer and genital warts.
